Work well for shorter distances as stated in other comments. Intended use is in case of a crises at least We’ll have basic communication. I have a Ham radio base and another handheld from the same manufacturer. Good quality.

The price is right!
These things were great for a road trip and going to events. Worked well over a mile while driving and stayed charged for the full 12 hour drive. Only needed 2 but came with 4 so now we have backups.

Pretty good, but misleading
My kiddo loves these, but they definitely do NOT work a mile away from each other. We can barely go 1/4 mile up the street before they don’t work.
