Clean air
I have 9 small dogs,they mostly small and spend a lot of time in doors. Since I purchased my new air purifiers, The house smells clean and we breathe so much easier. It also help with the extra dust that comes with my furry family. Low noise level. Easy to clean and change the filters. I really like that it let’s you know when you need to check and or change the filters.

Charcoal Filter Concern
Product fits well BUT I’m noticing 2 differences from OEM Winix filter:1) I think it must be the HEPA filter that perhaps is more dense (?) than the original because its causing a different sound when the fan is on max compared to the original, I’m not sure how much this affects performance if at all. It’s almost as if its not smooth airflow like the original and this replacement filter is blocking a small % of the airflow that should be going through the machine.2) When I wash the charcoal filter by rinsing it under water, I get a lot of black residue or particles that look like fine grains of black sand coming off and also the color of the water is darker than clear (like dirty water is how I’d describe it). Eventually the water discoloration clears after enough rinsing. You would think this could be a good thing because maybe its the dirt and stuff that the product has filtered out of the air, Except that didn’t happen with the original Winix filter, so I’m wondering what’s going on here…..is it a lower qualify charcoal that is coming apart and degrading simply by being rinsed? I don’t think these tiny particles came out of the air. Maybe these particles are also what is turning the water a darker color as opposed to the darker color happening because of dirt the filter has trapped. I say that because Again – this didn’t happen with the OEM charcoal filter, the water was clear with no black residue or particles at all when washing it.-If there is any way to let me know if this is happening to other people reading this that would be great. Maybe i’ll also send this message to seller to see what they say about it.
