Smells clean carbon filter is 2x thicker and closes better the original the hepa filter looks just as good seals good 4x pre filters i will buy again i have to check if they sell other air filters

Cheaper alternative to OEM and comparable quality
Upon installing, it appears to be very similar to OEM. Can’t speak on the filter quality yet. Something that stood out (whether it’s good or bad), is the carbon filter is much thicker as seen in photo. The unit cover still closes and operates fine.

Worth a try
At the time of this review, this filter set is priced slightly less than the non-brand name filters I have been using. I can’t do a direct Bissell Brand comparison, because it has been a long time, but from what I recall, the brand I use is comparable.The hepa filter material from this set seems comparable, but the boarder/framing is less rigid, so filter seems cheaper. An obvious difference is the carbon filter. This filter set has solid pellets that sit in the bottom of the cells. My other filter has smaller pieces that stick to the edges throughout the cell giving better exposure to the air passing through which should make it more effective. The construction of the filter and the volume of carbon seems the same, so as a practical matter, I’m not convinced that as a user you’d notice a difference.The 6 pack of pre-filters with this set is a is a plus, given my usual brand only supplies one. (Tip, when you clean the sensor on the unit, vacuum the pre-filter to extend the life, but it is still nice to have extras.)Going 4 stars. They are not the highest quality available, but If you are shopping for replacement filters, I’d rate these worth it to try them as an economy option.

Same filters as name brand (which aren’t available from Bissell anyways). And having 4 pre-filters is GREAT! With a long hair cat, and waist-long blonde hair, plus two smokers, an air filter is an absolute must! Highly recommend!

These fit perfectly in my Bissell Air 400. I didn’t notice any difference between this and the OEM filters I replaced. I will definitely be re-ordering these again!
