How to fix H8 crashing after using computer programming?
Re-upgrading the firmware will solve the problem.
Search “tidradio.com”, click PROGRAMER, click Software,and download this NEWEST firmware.
After selecting the correct COM, click STAR and then turn on the radio after 1seconds.
Switching the mode will reset the radio, please backup in time on Odmaster.

High quality excellent specs
3-21-24 Great radio at a great price. I have 2 of these TD-H8’s with the spare batteries and they never let me down. Great sound and they really punch out with 10 watts. I often just let them scan and sit and watch that beautiful display. The batteries hold up as good or better than most out there. They are super easy to program, I used Chirp, and the odmaster app with my phone as well as the TIDRadio CPS. The only thing I am not happy about is the Power Tune App they provide as part of their software package does not work and TIDRadio said they are fixing it but not yet. I will update if TIDRadio actually fixes the software or sweeps it under the rug. This radio passed spectral purity tests and is now clean. No spurious emissions. The Power Tune software may or may not be a big deal but since they offer it with the package it should at least work. If the Power Tune software worked I could tell if the radios needs adjusting and adjust them. 73 UPDATE: TIDRadio has worked with me and fixed the Power Tune App and I couldn’t be happier. This radio is spectrally clean and puts out close to 11 watts on 2 meters. Tested myself.

Nice if you know how to use it
Nice and have a little weight to them. Has many channels already set. Comes with 2 antenna each. Everything is included.Be aware that none of the channels programed in already can you talk on unless you purchase a license. There is no test but is $35 and good for 10 years and it includes family members. Now if you use the ( Ham side ) you have a test and have to pass and pay a fee. You can listen but not talk on the Ham side.why I give it a 4 star is because it has a range of not real far.. 1 or maybe 2 miles in a town. If your in flat area no trees or obstructions maybe 4 or 5 miles. Unless you know something about a radio like this ( if your completely new ) i would suggest something for beginners. To actually benefit you need to hook up with repeters and that is a bit more of a learning curve. Plenty of videos on set up and how to use it if you want to spend the time.

Solid build, great support, excellent coverage (136MHz – 520MHz) twice the power as your typical HT.Can be programmed with your mobile phone (“Odmaster” Bluetooth App) or with Chirp, TIDRADIO – CPS, or with RT Systems Software! I own 3 and have setup a dozen more for my club and coworkers.
