Durable, Versatile, and Built to Last!
The Arcturus XL Survival Tarp is an absolute must-have for anyone who loves the outdoors. This tarp is incredibly well-made, with heavy-duty materials that can stand up to just about anything. Whether I’m using it as a shelter, ground cover, or reflective blanket, it performs flawlessly every time. The reflective Mylar side is a game-changer for retaining heat in colder conditions, while the durable waterproof side provides excellent protection from rain and wind. At 10×12 feet, the size is perfect for a wide range of setups, and the reinforced grommets make it easy to secure in any environment.Despite its rugged design, the tarp is surprisingly lightweight and compact when packed, making it easy to carry on camping trips or store in a bug-out bag. It’s clear that Arcturus put a lot of thought into the design of this product. If you’re looking for a reliable survival tarp that can handle tough conditions, the Arcturus XL is worth every penny. I couldn’t be happier with it!

Awesome awesome product! 1 major flaw…
This tarp is awesome! Very thick, blocks wind well, and on my camp the other night. I made a very simple shelter with it, I slept comfortably down to 30°F. The flaws of it, however.. there are imperfections throughout where you can see small spots of light. Also, the reflective inner layer i fear, will not last for many trips. It is very plastic-like and will likely tear or wear off.. For the price, I will be a happy customer if it last me through this camping season.

Great company and great product
I found these by watching Corporals Corner on YouTube. It’s the best quality tarp I’ve ever owned. The grommets are very strong. I’ve had a tarp over my porch for over a year with no rips.

Thick, heavy and seems well made…..
I will update the review once I take it out but upon inspection in the house this thing seems like a good value. By no means ultra light weight, heavy duty for large shelters and those types of activity. I wanted something large for winter camping to use with a hammock and or a raised bed type shelter that would reflect body heat and double as a life saving thermal blanket if needed. I tend to carry a large rucksack so the extra weight/bulk is no big deal to me……..I got exactly what I wanted. A shelter that is heavy duty and flexible that can also act as emergency bivy with a reflective wall inside that holds body heat.

So far, so good
Very nice for puppy kennels in the winter, just add a little heater.

Great plant freeze protection
I have a hedge of oleanders that will die in a herd freeze (below 25). I covered 2/3 of the hedge with regular plant tarp, and 1/3 with Arcturus tarp. Almost all of the oleanders under regular tarp died and all of the oleanders under the Arcturus tarp were unharmed. My theory is the foil keeps the earth’s heat from escaping radiantly.

They were great at Burning Man, yes and, unfortunately, they were stolen from the RV repair place..

Not happy with the product, needs improvement
5 STARS FOR COSTOMER SERVICE-10 STARS FOR XL SURVIVAL BLANKETThe grommets ripped right out on the first night I took it out, I hardly had any pressure on them. The reflection coating is coming off after the first night as well.UPDATE: I contacted the seller about the problem and they quickly responded. They are replacing the XL tarp. I hope the new one holds up better.UPDATE #2: The new replacement tarp did the same thing. The grommets pulled out when tying the tarp down. I hardly had to put any pressure on them and they came right out of the fabric again.I let the company know and am now waiting on a response.UPDATE #3: Arcturus responded quickly, refunded the money and sent me their original tarp that is smaller. I’m happy with the quality of their original one. If they made the XL tarp out of the same material it probably would have been a lot better quality.Over all, I didn’t get the product that I wanted but they have excellent customer service and delt with the problem well.

this doesn’t back down small, it is big and bulky, but it seems well made and is nice and large
Andy –
The expanded size space blanket is excellent. Its bulkier than the standard solo size but perfect for the vehicle or camp setup.
E. Evans –
The fabric is cheap and definitely not durable. Very disappointing.

I put this down inside a 6 person tent, it protects the tent floor from dog nails. It prevents condensation from wetting the sleeping bags/pads. It’s more comfortable to walk on, sticks and stones under the tent aren’t as bad. And it helps reflect heat so the child ground doesn’t suck heat as bad.I also have a second smaller size that I hang from d the roof of the tent. It helps keep heat in, I can use a 3 season tent in the cooler months

I was positively surprised by this blanket! Thought it would be just a chunk of tarp with some coaring, but no – effectively, this is a properly designed, technologically quite advanced, light, well-packaged, and well-made piece of equipment! Well done, Arcturus…Now, on a negative side – price for making this tarp light is getting all that foil tissue cracking on the bends and corners. And it is fairly fragile overall – I used similar ones, and they do not like even lightest physical damageThat said, this particular blanket went straight to my patrol pack, replacing an older tarp – which was lacking the heat-reflective lining. Definitely satisfied with the purchase, and pleasantly surprised with quality
