Delicious, buttery lemon shortbread-flavored ration bars that help keep your energy and strength up in an emergency or when consumed daily. Each bar acts as a single meal with the calories (410 kcal) and micronutrients (14 vitamins and minerals) to provide basic rations for 1 person for a couple of days.
Made without wheat, corn, and other chemical preservatives frequently found in other ration bars. While most ration bars are made using cornstarch and wheat flour — Survival Mode is one of the first ration bars to remove those ingredients and replace them with sorghum flour.
Sorghum is a superfood that’s an incredible nutrient source and also contains protein, potassium, magnesium, fiber, and antioxidants.

Exactly what I was looking for
This survival bar is exactly what I was looking for to put in my “get home bag” in my car. Regular food bars don’t last long and these have a five year expiration date.I ate one for dinner. It is edible, but also very thirst-provoking. I keep water in my bag as well, so that’s fine. It was crumbly, but that’s not a problem. I felt fine and was not hungry for 12 hours until breakfast, so it lasted a good long time.I don’t understand the negative comments about the taste. It’s a bit too sweet and salty for me, but it’s a survival bar, not a gourmet meal!- It’s cheap- It’s edible- Five years until expiration- I ate one for dinner and was not hungry at all for 12 hours.- Perfect for a SHTF kit.Five stars. It does EXACTLY what I need it to do.

My grandma watched every episode of T.Ranger
I took one bite and instantly my white belt turned black. By the time I finished box I had rescued hostages, arrested criminals in Texas, and somehow opened a portal that led to the 1990s. My grandma passed away at 97 and Chuck Norris was her favorite. So all jokinging aside these are pretty good survival snacks. And God bless you Mr.Norris , Helen would be proud.

Survival dessert
These Lemon Shortbread Bars from Roadhouse Provisions are very large bars when comparing the size to most candy bars or granola bars. They are 410 calories per bar and very tightly vacuum sealed yet the bars are not crushed. They have full dimensional sharp corners and edges. ( see photos )The flavor of the bars is a cross between a Lora Dune and Sandie without the Pecans the texture is not as good but, knowing that foods that last for survival, don’t have much if any fat in them, the texture is somewhat crumbly and sandy. For the sake of comparison, My husband had expected eating survival food to give me a notable amount of gas or stomach ache … .since he has eaten many MRE’s and plenty of food that was made for survival. Survival foods are typically high calories / high carbs / protein / and extremely long shelf life. I’m glad to report, I ate half of this bar as a dessert after dinner and that I had no negative effects. Nothing noted in the first hour or two and no negative effects within 48 hours after eating it,The flavor is good, the price for a basic snack bar is high at around $4 per bar. As a survival food ( as intended ) it is a great value.I hope my thoughts and photos help.

A survival bar that tastes good
It tastes like a homemade sugar cookie and it doesn’t make you thirsty. Well worth the money.

Delicious, but they fall apart
These are delicious but they fall apart when you try to open them. This isn’t a problem working on a flat countertop in your kitchen when you know what to expect, but in a survival or camping situation I wouldn’t have expected that and I would’ve lost half of the bar. Fix that and it’s five stars.
