Quick, Convenient and Cost Effective
I purchased these combo tests because I have a kiddo in high school. Parents out there know that’s all I need to say. Every year, we play “covid, flu or something else?” It seems to happen at the beginning of the year when insurance deductibles have reset! This year is no different.These tests are accurate and they work. My Son is sick….again…. Instead of a big medical bill for urgent care to send us home with instructions and nothing else, we have our answer from the comfort of our home. Quick Testing for Two Flu Types and COVID – can’t cover all flu-like viruses
Easy to use though you do need to be sure you get the swab well up each nostril. I already had a negative test for COVID after first symptoms. This gave me chance to resample COVID plus two other possible alternatives (Influenza A and B). All came up negative even with the passage of time. This wasn’t surprising because I was vaccinated with a high dose trivalent vaccine and, from what I can tell, the vaccines are a good match to the influenza strains.On the other hand, these tests are limited to major combinations of viruses. If you want more detail than a general classification of COVID, Influenza A, or Influenza B, you need to go somewhere that will provide a more detailed test, possibly drawing blood. This allowed me to rule out these three sources of illness. It is more likely, from the symptoms I observed, that I was infected with an adenovirus (no at home tests) and it’s not worth it to me to figure which of the other viruses I may have been exposed to.I have increased hand washing, isolated within our house, and used masking to minimize exposure to my illness.

I’m a physician. These work really well at a price similar to, or slightly more expensive, than regular COVID test strips. I have 2 school age children and the ability to show flu vs covid is helpful. They show results in less than 10 min and the lines are bright and easy to read. The iHealth strips are dim and difficult to read, and the Flowflex brand is also good.

Accurate
I purchased these a few months ago when I was sick. My result we very clearly negative. When my daughter got sick a week ago, I used this test and she immediately showed positive for Flu A. Just ordered another box to test my sick son. Very helpful to have a few of these laying around, and potentially saving a trip to urgent care!ETA: I was BARELY able to swab my 6yo son’s nostril (he only allowed one to be swabbed lol) and it still showed a faint positive for Flu A. I’m impressed with these tests!
