EXCELLENT for emergencies.
THESE are GREAT for emergencies– and good til 2044!!! Delivery was quick- excellent service and the product stores easily.I am on carnivore and these are vegan and HIGH carb content.. so they don’t fit my daily lifestyle– BUT- in case of severe emergencies– such as they had in NC and other areas recently- they would be PERFECT!!! TASTE good too- and very filling.

Still 5 stars because it’s better than many out there
I would recommend the coffee one more probably I like coffee but I do like peanuts too. However this one does taste as good as coffee to me, while my family said this one tasted better. Well, compare to all other products I tried, it’s better anyways.

Emergency food bars
I bought these to test them out as a possible solution to emergency rations stored in a vehicle or get home home bag.Packaging:The box has 12 packages of two individually wrapped bars. Mine are the chocolate version. I like everything about their packaging, and especially that each bar is wrapped separately for better storage if you don’t eat both at one setting.Flavor & Experience:The flavor was good, better than I thought it would be. The only bad spot in this entire product is the texture when eating the bars. They crumble easily and the bar powders in your mouth when biting into them and chewing them. I almost want to say it’s like chalk in your mouth, but it’s not necessarily unpleasant an experience.Overall I give this product 4.5 of 5 stars, just because it would be nice to chew the bar and not have it so chalky.I hope this helps you make a decision, but I will probably buy a couple more boxes to have on hand.

Taste is ok
It tastes ok. But product is good. It will not melt. Great to leave in the car for snow or traffic

I like them
I got the peanut butter bars. I have not tried the other ones but if they are anything like the peanut butter ones I will like them. Now I tried one cliff bar and didn’t like it at all must of the cliff bar went out the window. Now with this one I love it but the texture is something else. It like a compressed cookie. If I was going to recommend this type of food I would say this is the best to pack over a cliff bar in my books and the life of the food is great 20 years. The packaging is good because you can eat one bar at a time or spit one pack between two kids.

A good choice for a long hike
These are a compact ration bar. In texture they are are dense but crumbly – they don’t break apart in the hand but do when bitten and are reduced to dust when chewed. Despite this, eating them doesn’t provoke too strong of a thirst. In flavor, I’d say they are like a savory, mild shortbread cookie – like such a cookie made from ghee. There is no detectable flavor of pepper or salt, so far as I could tell. They are conveniently packaged two bars to a robust foil pack, with each bar individually wrapped with a thin plastic wrapping, just enough to keep the bars separate and free from sweat/dust until you are ready to eat them. Though thin, it can be removed in one piece, for the most part.I purchased these for two reasons – to keep in my car as an emergency food supply, and to keep in my pack to top off on clean energy. They seem to work well for the latter purpose; when I was climbing a mountain to see the total eclipse, I tested out a pair of bars to see how they supported the exertion. They were easy to remove and eat, left no residue and had no gastrointestinal effects, and provided enough energy that I didn’t have to eat again for almost twelve hours. If I had any complaint, it would be that they are a bit expensive for what they are – they should be maybe half this price. It might be nice to get these individually wrapped, since they are 400 Calories each and you don’t necessarily want to 800 Calories even if you are out on a tough hike. I’d prefer US-made ration bars to Chinese ones, and will see if any are available. They are, however, suitable to purpose.

Brought these on a whim after eyeing the mainstay sea rations for decades, didnt think id use them but keep in a cupboard.Ive used 4 packs over the course of 2 months, gave one away. Great for keeping in the glovebox.. forget to buy food for work and not wanting to pay for overpriced cafe food?Chocolate crumbly sawdust is your friend.Taste pretty decent. I admit to eating one for pleasure. Happy to have got these. Extra points for the look of confusion on peoples faces after being told “lifeboat rations” for lunch 🙂

Have a mix of freeze dried food, 24hr MRE now these bars in a compact box with long storage life means you have more variety. Tried the normal versions but prefer this flavor instead.

Good product to find – expensive though.Originally bought 2 x boxes of 12 that cost more than $70.Found the manufacturer but had to buy in bulk paying just over $280 AU for 16 x boxes of 12 which was in 2 cartons of 8 boxes – 1 x peanut and 1 x chocolate delivered which would have cost through Amazon $560+.Now trying to find a survival tabs seller also.
