Easier than I thought.
I wanted a rain barrel, but one that could fit in to a small space. This barrel is perfect. It was easy to install. I had to buy a kit to properly install it, but overall the project was easier than I thought. It looks good. Have not had rain yet to actually test it out. But I’m happy with the results.

Amazing!!!
I live next door to an abandoned house and the gutters haven’t been cleaned in years therefore the water pours into my yard and into my basement. Well not anymore! This rain barrel is everything! I am so excited that it perfectly catches the water and I can reuse it to water my own flowers and grass instead of the water going into my basement. It’s a perfect size and the dimensions were accurate…it fits with room to spare. Best purchase ever!!

It leaks at the knob but easily fixed
So those ‘Frankenstein bolts’ on the side have no purpose other than leak when the water reaches that level. So – since this is a nice size ,made in canada and the best value: buy a $10 squeeze tube of ultra clear lexel caulk and smear it around those monsters. Even if it’s leaking when you smear it, it will seal it. Presto: water sealed to the top.

Easily expanded to multiple barrels
The barrel is plastic. While not robust, it also is low maintenance. The barrel has a feature where additional barrels can be added in sequence (without doing additional gutter diversions). I plan to add another barrel next to this and bridge the top port to connect to downstream barrels. Why? Because after several rains, I found the barrel filled very quickly (based on a large roof collection area). I can easily collect several rain barrels with one storm since storm intensity seems to be increasing. That gives me a lot more water for the dry patches.

Sturdy
Holds plenty of rain water and is strong, with a mesh screen opening at the top.

All the Way to the Bottom
I love the design of this rain barrel. The water spigot being all the way on the bottom of the barrel means you can empty (or almost empty) the unit without manually moving the unit around. The top filtering screen is not removable, so I thought it was inconvenient, but it turns out it stays in place even if the barrel gets full and the water pushes out. Other rain barrels tend to push the screen off the barrel when it rains hard. I highly recommend this.

I was so excited until……
Let me start off by saying they are good looking barrels. Also they seem to be very sturdy. My issues are the one plastic grate on top is too easy to open. I think a strong wind will make it fly off. The other grate (I bought two of these), is too hard to open. I’m afraid to break it every time I have to check the water level. Last but most importantly, the top opening let’s in a ton of debris, even with their plastic grates on top. Overall if they were half the price of what I paid, I’d say I got what I paid for. But these were not cheap and for what I did pay for them, I feel extremely disappointed with the purchase. Buyer beware.

Attractive but flawed
These barrels look nice for the price and it’s great they can sit flush against a wall but there are some serious design flaws with how they expect two barrels to be connect or any type of overflow control. There was initially dripping coming from three of the four side extension pieces in our two barrels when they were full of water. The seller was very responsive and provided rubber caps to help stop the drips and extra hose to try and create a better overflow control, so points for good customer service. For the downside: Note that there is no way you can connect two barrels or have overflow hosing without requiring a saw and alteration to the barrels because the side pieces (seller calls them spigots but they are not spigots) where this is intended to occur are a fully sealed part of the barrel and must be cut open, compared to our other barrel which came with a top spigot already threaded to connect a garden hose and simply had a cap screwed on that needed to be removed, the design of these barrels is rather frustrating. The “hose” provided for connection or overflow is really worthless because it’s soft flexible plastic that did not allow water to easily flow out, we had initially added a small overflow tube which worked fine for draining into a bucket and worked to fill a bucket while the “hose” did nothing.. We ended up having to buy a section of tubing to replace the one provided and it now works to allow overflow into the second barrel. It should also be noted that the top grid plate works fine to keep debris out but the holes are still large enough for mosquitoes so we added screen mesh to keep out bugs. The other barrel we have came with mesh already covering the top which was another better feature than this barrel.

Great Quality product and very durable. Feels good to reserve the rain water. I placed it on a level area of the patio. It is ergonomically dedigned with the spigot on the bottom and the attachment hose clips at the top, no need for continuous bending over.

I like the asthetic of this barrel and the hose addition. It was easy to put together and when it overflows, it drips out the side. I have no issue with the hose hanger as some have reviewed, it sits firmly held. The shut off switch on the hose is non-existant, literally does nothing when you turn it, so have your water can ready!

Vous saurez plus tard s’il est efficace car on doit attendre la fonte des neiges. Facile à monter et très joli.

Good quality and fits our space beside the garage appropriately.

The product essentially is good but you do have to find your own equipment to hook the barrel up to your drain for the overflow. You do receive a sleeve to connect the rain barrels if you want them in tandem. Also be careful to tighten the hoses on the bottom of the barrel as they will come loose and you’ll have a mini gusher. The barrels are sturdy, and have an even bottom and sit well on the pedestals we made for them. I will buy more.
