There are differences between using AAA and 18650
Very nice and bright zoomable flashlights. I used the AAA battery adapter in one and a 18650 Battey in the other. Left them on for 40mins. They are a simple click on and click off. Results that are very noticeable immediately is that the 18650 Battery is slightly brighter, 3200mAH, and heated up more so after the 40 mins then the one with the AAA adapter.Great set of flashlights to have. At the end the lights were still as bright as when started and both flashlights were warm to touch, the 18650 a bit more so then the one with the AAA. However, was still a bit brighter.Very well made and comes with 2 Flashlights, 2 AAA battery adapters, and Sleeves for use with 18650 Lithium batteries. If using the 18650 batteries you will need to purchase a charger as these do not have a USB C charging port. They come with clips and short lanyards. Fit well in purse or pocket. Worth the money.

Real nice basic flashlight
I’ve been trying to find a basic type flashlight for quite a while. I only want one that turns off and on, not one that has a strobe function and a bunch of different light levels I have to go through each time I turn on the flashlight. Gearlight also has flashlights that have all the different functions but I didn’t want those. These just have an on/off switch and zoom. I just set the zoom for where I want it and don’t fool with it anymore. The flashlights (came in a pair which is real nice) feel well built and have some heft to them. They have a clip for attaching to your belt or backpack. The clip also keeps the flashlight from rolling off a table, etc. I prefer the clip to a pouch because I don’t have to fool with putting the pouch on a belt or strap before I can use it. If you want a basic flashlight I would highly recommend these GearLight LED Tactical Flashlights. They put out a lot of light too!

Single mode flashlights for the win
I own a bunch of these and keep them around the house, in my car, and give them to friends and family. Thank goodness for “single mode” flashlights that don’t confusingly turn into a strobe light or an “SOS” signal when you simply want to turn the flashlight on and off. Well built, good price, good battery life, very bright.

Nice enough light. Good deal.
It’d be nice if there were more choices in single mode flashlights. This one (yes, there are 2 per order) is good for what it is. It will accept a 21700 battery and has an adapter tube for 18650’s. I use a 5000mah 21700 with one of mine and an 18650 with the other. Using the cartridge and the associated AAA’s just seems ridiculous. It’s solid enough to survive being dropped from someone on a 6 foot ladder onto solid concrete (how many times I don’t want to find out). The zoom slide moves easily, yet has enough resistance so that it doesn’t just move back and forth on it’s own. It throws plenty of light for its size. Too much if using it for up close inspection really. I haven’t tested its water resistance, but I’m sure if I were to apply a thin coating of grease (as I’ve done with my other lights) on all the o-rings it would survive a quick immersion if dropped in an arms length pool of water and quickly retrieved.I do wish it zoomed out a bit farther for a wider field of view in flood mode, but my only real gripe is the square shape of the beam when fully zoomed in spotlight mode. It’s the precise shape of the diode. It’s more than just “not what I’m used to”. It just doesn’t seem as efficient, intuitive or comfortable to use as a circular pattern is. I have a couple zoomable lights that have circular patterns and reach for them over these. These are ones am keeping as backups, car trunk emergency lights or loaners.Four stars overall for build quality, durability, usability and price point (minus one for the beam pattern). I gave four starts for the water resistance rating as I haven’t tested it beyond using it in the rain, but it does have o-rings where it should and even in pouring rain for about 1/2 an hour I had no water intrusion that I can tell or fogging of the lens. I’ve had them about 4 months now and neither one has died and I’ve used both of them in the rain several times, months ago. I left one on until it drained a 3000mah 18650 and it never got hot. It took at least 4 hours from what I recall. They aren’t perfect, but they are pretty decent and they’re SINGLE mode! If you don’t have 18650’s or 21700 batteries and an associated charger I think this is too much light and will make the cost and hassle of AAA’s not worth it. I wouldn’t take one camping with only those tiny batteries in it. But if you do have those batteries, these are bargain beams. They’re even worth using as an excuse to get yourself some nice lithium batteries and charger if you don’t.

Simple
These are nice flashlights. I wanted something simple and with a click on/off. They are a little heavier than I was expecting, but they are made of metal. Fisheye glass means a broader light, so they will be good for emergency use.

Works well
I’ve bought a few of these lights off Amazon I live in Florida and when hurricane season comes, I like to have a few of these on hand with or amongst other hurricane preparation items this is a great flashlight you can zoom in and out the light is really bright and it works great it lights up more than I thought it would and more than most flashlights that I have bought so I give this a thumbs up. It’s a great price and I’m happy with it and I know that if you choose to buy this product that you will be happy with it also.

Strong and bright
Metal, battery powered flashlights.Easily clips onto things.Fits in pockets.Heavy.Only 1 setting – click on/off for a strong, bright light. You can pull on the neck of the flashlight to focus the beam from wide to narrow spot, but I really appreciate the on/off light easy button. Too many others make you cycle through soft and flashing settings.

If you don’t like to cycle through a gazillion useless modes to turn off a flashlight, this is for you.If you only want a bright, focusable, and clear light for occasional use and runs on easily available AAA batteries, this is for you.IKEA rechargeable AAAs have a runtime of about 1h. While AAA runs fine, it also takes 18650 and work even better (much longer life).

I’m a satisfied customer. The product was delivered on time and in perfect working order. I am very pleased with the torch.I would recommend this product to others, but I would like to point out that one of the batteries seems to discharge faster than the other one when used at the same time. It is also important to note that the flesh of the torch is too bright for my liking, but I understand that this is simply due to the amount of power being consumed by it when charged up.
Average Joe –
The price for good flashlights has become indecent. Time will tell if this is an exception.I can’t comment on water resistance, or durability yet. I will update once I know more.At first glance:- Bright light as a cost. The battery life is +-30 minutes out of fresh Eneloop AAA rechargeable-By looking at how the battery cap is screwed and how the focus operates. Water resistance will be average at best. This is probably it’s weakest point. The ON/OFF switch feels strong and durable. It only got one mode/intensity level. So you don’t have to cycle thru to get the light you want. Since it’s rather bright, I would have liked a lower intensity (power saving) mode as well. But again, for that price. I’m happy.Specs says it’s rated for 10 foot drops. If true this is above average ratings for shock resistance. This is a full metal flashlight, on the heavy side with no rubber bumpers. So this claim remains to be seen, I will not drop it on purpose to confirm. All in all, I have good hopes for durability as long it doesn’t get dunked in water by accident.

I have tested out the flashlight only once and am happy with it’s performance. Simple to use, great zoom in and out.
