Why Use a Rain Barrel Stand? Increased Water Pressure and Stability
Most rain barrels on the market don’t fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. Barrels with optimally located spigots don’t allow room for filling buckets and leave hoses as the only draining option. A Rain Wizard Stand solves these issues by lifting and supporting the Rain Wizard off the ground. With increased elevation, water pressure is increased and filling buckets or watering cans is a breeze.

Very good quality rain barrel.
I purchased this rain barrel quite a while ago and have had no problems with it. The mesh works great to keep leaves, junk, and mosquitoes out of the water. The barrel is very easy to set up. I’ve got a downspout connected to the barrel now and now we get lots of good rain water stored and ready to use after every storm. The price was very reasonable too.

Very happy with the barrel. Add a little paint and you can’t tell it’s fake!
UPDATE: I’ve had it for a year and a half now in the horrible, unforgiving heat of the sun. Still no leaks or buckling. I recently added a small pond pump in it and ran tubing up through my rain chain. Now I have more bang for my buck…. A fountain! I LOVE IT even more now and I don’t have to wait for the rain to listen to running water. The pump also means no mosquito larvae. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love this barrel. We have gotten several heavy rains since. It fills quickly, but doesn’t bother me any. Get yourself some black plastic or glass paint bottles from the craft section and paint the rings and the cracks on the barrel. Takes a few minutes and makes a HUGE difference in appearance (picture attached). I have had no issues with leaking or bowing. I took the screan off because I have no leaves to worry about and enlarged the opening. Very easy to cut with a hacksaw. The barrel looks much better in person than in the picture. It has faux wood grain and is kind of two toned, so the grain stands out. After reading reviews, I saw that the spigot is too low for a hose, so I when attaching it, I stopped when the spigot was turned sideways. Good to go! I love the addition of a copper rain chain. Sounds beautiful!

Repeat Buyer
This is the 4th one of these that I have purchased. They are solid built, with filtered a inlet. We now have a stack of 4, “chained” together with PVC pipe. The threaded outlets that are built in to attach the spigot at the front base helped us chain then together. These have held up well in Florida Sun. Our first 3 are over two years old.Barrels are thick and well designed.5 Stars

Spigot is sub par
This is my first rain barrel, and after research, reading reviews, decided on this barrel. First I thought the plastic barrel itself should be more sturdy, thicker plastic. OK, let’s go. After installing the pad, time to thread in the spigot, and place the barrel. The brass spigot is bad news, and after Teflon tape, and a tight seal I thought, filled the barrel with 20 gal water. Leaked immediately. Trying to drain it, the flow of water out was like a dribble, took an hour+ to drain. Bought a Stainless Steel 3/4″ Qtr turn wide open spigot, and used more Teflon tape, and 100% Silicone. Installed the new spigot, let set for 36 hrs, then filled with 20 gal water. No leaks, then filled to 40 gal water. No leaks, but some bulging on the barrel. I have watched it for 2weeks now, still no leaks. Opened the new spigot and excellent flow. Reason for 3stars, improve the design of the spigot outlet, and provide a better spigot. Also, in the instructions, recommend Teflon tape and 100% Silicone. The instructions recommend removing the spigot to drain for yearly debris cleaning. No way I am ever going to remove the spigot, unless it leaks. Using this for emergency sanitary purposes, not to water plants etc. I would have given 4 stars if the spigot inlet and the spigot itself were better. This product arrived on time, undamaged, and is a good looking barrel. All the same color, have to paint the barrel ribs if you want that look. Time will tell. I think putting it in a shared area will prolong the longevity of the barrel. Good luck people.

Perfect
I live in the south, and wanted a rain barrel that would withstand the heat, humidity and freeze of winter. This one works perfectly. I have had this installed and working for 2 years and have had no issues with it’s capability and performance. It was easy to install when I attached it to my down spouting and underground overflow. The only issue I have had is that I installed it on a new house with new shingled roof. Although my gutters have gutter shields and there are no leaves or debris in my roof run off, there is the shingle sand. I have found that the faucet gets plugged and the water flow blocked by this debris. There is no way to flush this barrel to remove the sand or to even flush algae that may have built. The faucet is unremovable and there is no flush opening. To do so, I would have to totally disassemble from my down spouting and overflow, which I’m going to have to do. I have not noticed a mosquito growth issue, however if there was one, there is no way to add anything to the barrel contents to take care of it if needed. Other than that – it’s a great barrel and I am considering adding another of these to the run-off on my garden shed.

Seller fixed our problems
We have returned 2 barrels and one barrel we got working so it won’t leak now.The seller was responsive and helpful.5 star service and usefulness. -1 star for inconvenience./*Correction: The first barrel was not from Amazon despite supposedly being the same brand. So three out of three barrels failed. The first barrel we got was great! Did its job and held water. Second barrel, we returned it after finding it leaks. Third barrel, we put in a return but they want us to pay postage which would cost more than the barrel itself so it’s sitting on our front porch awaiting a decision. Fourth barrel, it leaks also. What are we supposed to do? Return it?*/

Sorry, it’s a rain barrel. It looks like a rain barrel. I don’t know what to say or write that would be a review. Pretty sure people grasp the concept of “Rain” and “Barrel”.
