Great product
Comes in a high quality tin. Decent taste, and really high calories. Great for hiking trips into deep woods.

Good for 19 years…
I did a fairly exhaustive search for long shelf life ration bars and it came down to 2 options. This one was described as much better tasting…but it isn’t a domestic product (China). After weighing the pros/cons I went with this product (taste and the better storage option won out). I haven’t tasted them yet, and most likely won’t unless the situation calls for it (hopefully never). So I just purchased these in March of 2024, and the stamp says good until 2043…or 19 years (not 20 years but close). I’ve eaten MRE’s that are way past their stated shelf life (+10 years past) without any issue other than the occasional off-putting taste on a few items. I would suspect the same is true for these bars, assuming you keep them stored properly. So unless something unfortunate happens I’ll be back in 2043 with a follow up review (after I buy a new pack).

Vegetarian, well packaged, tastes ok, made in china
Seems ok for Emergency Rations. A little worried that these were not from US, but it seems that a lot of our food is not. Each tin continas 20 foil wrappers, and each foil wrapper contains four sealed biscuits. I added date of purchase and figure if i do need to supplement my diet will make the decision down the line. I like the no-meat caloric source. It’s a good compliment to what we have in our pantry (beans, rice, canned fish). Taste like cookies. Not bad at all. I may take some of them hiking.I printed out a detail of the product, added a date of purchase sticker, and taped a razor blade to the inside because the packaging is tightly sealed. For less than what we spent on pets this month we have a little peace of mind.

Excellent product if you like grains and breads
I have nut allergies so I needed something for the trail that wouldn’t contain nuts. This is easy to break off and chew. It’s more filling than you expect. I’ve started taking these bars for long shifts at work. The taste is good if you like bread and grains like I do. Competitively priced.Warning these are not good for someone with wheat allergies.

Tins were damaged
I received this in 2024 and expiration says 2044, so 20 year shelf life upon receipt. Both tins were damaged, but one was crushed on one corner and the lid will not fit. Both lids were off when I received the box. The tins are very light duty. The food bars are well packaged and should sustain the shelf life indicated. They also indicate being made in China. Each foil pack contains 4 individually wrapped bars wrapped in a thin plastic film.

imagine something delicious that magically fill that hole in your stomach.
Okay, so you take a cookie Plant say one of America’s Finest cookies, you know a delicious cookie and they have cookies that get manufactured and get broken along the way. And end up with huge buckets of broken cookies along the way and they’re clean and they’re edible, but they can’t sell them because they’re broken. Okay, so you have to put the whole big bucket full of these things and you put them in a big compressing machine and it squeezes and squeezes and makes tiny tiny little cubes of cooking. That are edible. And their survival food now because they will store for 20 years and they will taste good for 15.

Long term food stores
These are better than the millennium bars in my opinion. They’re a bit like an animal cracker in a bar shape. They last forever, my tin said best before 2044. Ordered a second tin and will be handing them out to friends and co workers as “cookies” to see what they think of them.*Update*After receiving 5 tins and inspecting all of the contents, I found a total of 5 bags that had lost their vacuum seal. At one bad bag per 20 thats not too bad. The individual bars had the plastic wrap in tact.

box came open was all over
When I open the box someone had ripped the lid off the Tin was all scratched and the bars were in the box outside the Tin. I do not know if it was customs or abuse during transit but I will not purchase it again.
