Very Impressed by the quality.
I bought these so the family could stay in touch at Lake Nantahala in NC. There is no cell service at the lake. We kept one in the house and one in the boat and they worked like a charm. I used the high power option of 2 watts and we stayed in touch. We did get out of range when we explored the southern portion of the lake and river. Remember these units are UHF and primarily line of sight transmission. Mountains will interfere with the signal. If you go to lake Nantahala you will need a good set of walkie talkies. These are easy to use, sound great, and the batteries lasted all day. I used the rechargeable batteries and bought an extra pair.

Excellent Two-Way Radio
I bought this radio for yard work. It worked with no problem on low power mode around the yard (about an acre or so). We got bored and decided to test the range. I stayed at the house while two friends drove an atv through the neighborhood. They got to the edge of the neighborhood (3.9 miles according to google maps) and I could still clearly hear them on low power. The wind cancellation is also excellent. I had zero clue my friend was going 20+ mph on an ATV/4-Wheeler while he was talking to me. I used Amazon basics rechargeable batteries instead of the included battery packs and I had excellent battery life. We used them regularly during 8+ hours of yard work and it still showed 3/3 bars of battery life. This was with all the extra features turned on (vibracall, weather alerts, etc.). The emergency alert feature is a nice touch. Thankfully we didn’t need to use it, but we did test it and there is no way we would miss the emergency alert in case someone got hurt and needed immediate attention. Volume of radios is excellent. On full volume you could hear an incoming transmission while driving a zero turn mower (vibracall also helps with this). I cannot speak to the weatherproofing as I have not used them in poor weather, but it does seem to be a nice feature. Overall I am very happy with these radios, and would highly recommend them. They definitely live up to the Motorola name. I currently have 4 of these radios (Motorola talkabout T475), and plan to buy more.

works great
This is a pretty full-featured radio set so not the easiest to learn. Works great, fairly small, but thicker than a cell phone and with the external antenna, can still fit in pocket. Comes with removable belt/pocket clips too. I bought the charger/stand to have a good storage spot for both. Comes with rechargeable battery pack and you can also use three AA-batteries.

Perfect Purchase
I bought a set to try out for my work to see if these would work for our work environment. They worked so well my work ended up purchasing 12 radios. I would recommend these.Battery Life 5 out of 5No issues at this time works on a 10 hour work day no problem.Range 5 out of 5Unfortunately I we didn’t test for the distance that they were advised. We tested from inside an airplane hangar to another airplane hangar next door. Works great for our situation.Sound Quality 5 out of 5

Best Radio I Ever Used
I have used most if not all the walkies Motorola has made over the past 20 years. I used to use them daily in my job. The current model (MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS Talkabout T460 Rechargeable Two-Way Radio Pair (Dark Blue)), in all its color variations, is by far the best. Do not get scared off by people who have less than positive reviews since Motorola has consistently made the highest quality walkies I have seen. Here are my comments on the issues mentioned in reviews:Distance Covered: Of course they do not reach 35 miles unless you have a line of sight. However I can tell you my experience is they consistently get around heavy woods and rolling hills for almost a mile. If you need more use a HAM radio. Not Working Right: If something seems to be working wrong it is probably user error – see the Lockout discussion a few reviews earlier. There are more things these radios do than the average person knows and that is not the radios fault. Kind of like my smart phone. The Screw in the back: I read a review saying they hated the screw in the back since it was hard to use. OMG it is meant to be opened with any coin but a nickel. You do not need a screw driver. And it keeps it waterproof. It is easy to open.Battery Use: Thank god no body complained about this. It is great! Motorola says the rechargeable battery should only last 6ish hours. I have gotten 10-11 hours out of a charge without a problem. Of course duracell disposable batteries are about twice that.I hope this helps.

Two way radio serves it’s purpose
Bought this two way radio to communicate with my stepson after he broke his leg. Works great, we enjoy the private setting and the weather. Cannot wait to see how far the range on this two way radio goes 🙂

These are ok- but not great for long range
These are great to use over a few acres, but for me become really static once you are about a 1.5 miles away. I have tested. We will continue to use, but more for when someone is working outside, or in garage, to communicate with those inside when they need something. We took on a camp trip as well, same issue, works in certain range, but not reliable very far out.

Não correspondeu minha expectativa , talvez nem seja o produto, mas a minha localização

These radios have great sound and good range. They are not satellite radios so hills and mountains in the way can and will hinder the range, but that is expected. Had an issue with one of the radios and their service department fixed it right away. 5 out of 5 for sure. Quality service and quality product.
