Works amazing in car. Heed the warnings/instructions- they are not kidding around.
Amazingly effective at eliminating car odors from rat urine left a car vent system. After disassembling the vent system and cleaning it (including applying car urine treatments to neutralize everything I could reach)- the odor lingered. Ozone treatment failed to fix (tried that three times). One treatment with this product (only 20 tablets- which is a small fraction of the bag) and the car smells fresh again. With the car outside, and me outside the car… I dropped tablets in a jar with water, and closed the car door a second later. Waited a day to remove- airing car out for awhile. This stuff is dangerous if you breathe it in- but safe to use if applied as directed. I was impressed with the clear instructions- different sheets for different uses to make it super clear. You just need to read them and take them seriously!!!

Smoke / Cigarette smell – gone! Mazda3
Purchased a used car that had a smoke smell. I had the car fully detailed and spent a small fortune on ozone and was still left with a smell that would reappear when the car sat in the sun. The ozone did seem to clear the vent system out, but I needed to find something that would get the rest of the smell out of the upholstery.Ozone made me nervous with the possible break down of rubber, electronics and leather, so I did only 2 hours of ozone (though detailer said I needed to do 3-4) and didn’t want to do it again for fear of running the interior.After much research, I found companies offering a chlorine dioxide service, but then came across this product. The reviews, ease, and cost sold me and without fear of harm to the interior.Like ozone, I wanted to do the less approach and see the outcome as I could retreat without worry to the electronics and rubbers.The instructions state to park in shade, but that was not possible so I put blankets all over the car blocking out 100% of the sun. I future followed the instructions and used 2oz of warm water to 20 tablets. I put the water in a plastic cup that was 5″ tall and put that cup in a plastic shoe box container in case of over foaming or spillage. I laid the back seats down to be able to treat the trunk area as well. Since the car was small, I placed the water container in the backseat on the floorboard. I then added the tablets and swiftly closed the door.After an hour, I grabbed my respirator, and opened the backseat, removed the container and then started the car putting the vents on recirculate to be sure I got it all. I let it run for 20 mins. Once the timer was up, put the respirator back on, turned the car off, all the windows open and let the car air out. The outside temp was hovering around 60 with a nice gentle breeze.The car has a smell of a pool. It’s not strong at all. Just a faint smell that is refreshing in a sense. I’m pretty sure after a few days, the smell will be non-existent.I am so incredibly pleased with the outcome and I won’t hesitate to use in other applications. I’ll even consider a smoker car again since I now feel I can get the smell completely out.

Wear a mask…This stuff works
EDIT: The product is not faulty just because you didn’t use it correctly. If you used half a bag it makes absolutely no since to return to the area 20 minutes later. Also it’s gas. No closing a door won’t contain it. The package says let it work a few hours at minimum. Use it when you can leave the house for a few hours.I bought a house and the previous owner didn’t disclose they had a pet. Apparently it peed everywhere. The basement and an upstairs closet stank so bad. Especially when it gets hot. I cleaned, bleached, used enzymes primed the walls and nothing worked. The smell always came back.Anyway I found this followed the instructions and the smell is gone. Word to the wise. Use a mask unless you want to pass tf out. This stuff starts working instantly be ready to put it down and run. You will feel lightheaded if you breathe this stuff in. It’s strong af. I used it in the basement and could smell it all over my house when I came back a fews hour later. It smells like a swimming pool x100Only issue it took forever to arrive after ordering.TLDR; This works

We use half a pouch to clean out our 15 year old 20′ trailer from any must or mildew smells over the winter. Work’s fantastic and odors don’t come back. We also use it to clean out our washing machine and dishwashers which get iron reducing bacteria slime from our well. Also throw it into the back of the toilet tanks.Use it all the time. Bag last a long time if you only use 1-5 tablets at a time.

Thanks to two other people here with their long and detailed reviews of their experience, especially that funny one with that lady who said, “I don’t feel so good,” lol (don’t mean to laugh at your misery it was just funny), I came prepared.I got a respirator mask which made me impervious, but still took it off just to see, and a couple whiffs of the surrounding air and a few seconds later I was tearing up and nose running like wild.Definitely not stuff to play with. Even in spray bottle form with a few tablets in there it was making my eyes burn lol.In my opinion, it helped a lot. Used it in two buckets in an ~600 sq ft bachelor studio apartment to get rid of residual cigarette smoke scent and brought some friends over to smell test. One said it is way better, and another said she could still smell some but has a sensitive nose. I could smell nothing, only some residual chlorine dioxide because I left the buckets there instead of dumping and rinsing after use.Opened a screen door to air out and all smell gone in a few days. No problemo.None of the scent lingered on any objects either.Some guy was gonna do this and charge me $500 until I found this and realized I could do on my own for a fifth of the cost!Comes with plenty of great instructions and a packet of very small pellets the size of raisins.Highly recommend buying a respirator that filters out VOCs before using this indoors. Also, a Home Depot bucket will more than suffice as you only need to add a few cups of water. It bubbles and froths up a lot, but the standard Home Depot bucket kept it all in. Even a typical car wash bucket would do too.Good luck!!!!

I bought a new house and it’s a bit old, so it has a bit of an old house vibe I tried many ways to solve it, but none of them worked. Later, when I saw this product, I bought it and tried it out. I used the whole package in a 1300 square foot space and stayed there for 20 hours, which had some effect. Now there is still a slight smell of swimming pool disinfection! Hope for better results!

The instructions on the packaging are far to minimal for what happens. They should clearly state that you need large buckets to contain the frothing and foaming that will occur once you add the tablets to the water. They also do not talk much about safety equipment and I can say that I am very very happy I had a respirator on and thick plastic gloves. Despite that my throat still hurts from the exposure I got while trying to clean up the overflow. Not to mention that water activates it more so you are not left with many options after things start overflowing.I am now hoping I will be able to remove the stains from the sink that I had to place the bucket into after it overflowed.This stuff is no joke. The instructions should reflect that.
