Inexpensive, compact, and great tasting!
It’s been about 3 years since I purchased these, so I decided to give them a try. The cinnamon bars taste great! Each bar has about 400 calories with lots of sugar and fat. It’s like a thick graham cracker – strong cinnamon taste, crumbly, and sweet. The coconut is good and doesn’t have a strong coconut taste. The outer packaging is vacuum-packed around the bars making a solid, compact “block”. I used a knife to open. The bars are individually wrapped in thin, clear plastic and easily opened. The bars taste good! Excellent with coffee. You’ll get fat quickly from eating lots of these calorie-dense bars without activity (4.88 cal/g compared to Snickers 4.92 cal/g). However, in an emergency scenario, these are perfect.

Solid buy. Better than expected!
Just got these delivered and they look quite good on first inspection. The manufacture date on mine was 10/20 and expiration is 10/25 so it seems it’s good for just a little under 5 years by the time it arrives. It’s quite hefty and the packaging looks and feels good. Both of them came in white packaging which made me a little confused, but one had a sticker labeling it Cinnamon.I figured I’d open one of them up and went with the cinnamon one first. They are all packaged together and are all individually wrapped in what seems to be very thin plastic. Since it’s packed so tightly they are all stuck in one block which comes apart fairly easily surprisingly. They are a little oily on the outside and have a slight pleasant cinnamon smell to them. I tried a bar and they taste pretty good honestly. They’re plain, taste like cinnamon obviously, and pretty much inoffensive. The texture is kind of crumbly, but cohesive. It’s not like compressed bar of powder though and is moist which doesn’t dry out the throat. One thing I noticed is the high sugar content. One bar contains 31 grams of sugar which is quite high, especially if you’re eating three of these a day as per the instructions. This doesn’t concern me too much, because that’s not where the intent was behind this product. It’s made to be a stable food ration for emergencies which can handle varying environments, stay shelf stable for 5 years, and after all that’s said and done be able to provide calories and energy for someone on the move or to survive for a longer period of time all while not making them feel more thirsty. All in all these bars are a solid buy and will provide security and ease for you knowing that you have something for emergencies.Summary:+ 5 year shelf life+ Packaging is solid and feels like it’ll last+ Tastes good, mostly plain with hint of cinnamon+ Each bar is individually wrapped and come apart easily. (I don’t think they’ll last 5 years once you open the main bag though.)- It’s not healthy, but hey you’re trying to survive here.10/10 would buy again.Hope this review helped you all.

Taste Pretty Good, Do not Make You Thirsty
For a 5 year emergency food you can keep almost anywhere, these actually taste pretty good. They’re not hard as a rock and not too chewy or gummy. Consistency is right in the mid range, firm but very soft and crumbly once you take a bite and chew. They’re very light tasting yet hardy and filling.I can attest to the non thirst-provoking claim. I’ve eaten several bars and did not get thirsty from them at all like you might from some salty or sugary foods. I’d be glad to have a few of these packs in an emergency situation.Just make sure you keep scissors, pocket knife or cutting tool close by with it. The packaging is pretty thick and hard to open with your bare hands.

Arrived fresh and well packed!
Arrived overnight, expertly packaged and in perfect condition. Brand new 10/24 manufacture date on everything. Great price. Have not tasted so cannot comment on that.

Good
Tastes okay, fills the tummy. Bring some Metamucil though if you are going to eat it for a long period of time. That’s a thing with any concentrated caloric product though. Doesn’t taste bad. Doesn’t have that chalky strange feel in your mouth. I’m not fond of the chocolate one, but I don’t really like chocolate.

Love this stuff
I keep a pack of these in my camping gear, truck, great for any time you’re out and hungry. Does not make you thirsty and you get used to the taste really quickly. I find myself snacking on them while driving now.

Somewhat lacking in flavor – still worth every penny.
It’s a survival bar. It’s never going to be on the taste level of a high-quality MRE, but I’d give my entire stash of buried gold for something like this if I was starving and had nothing else. I tried the coconut ones and while you wouldn’t *need* a bottle of water to eat this in a SHTF scenario, you might wanna grab some milk or something while you still can. The taste is pseudo-bland and sort of cardboard-y with the flavor hitting afterward and it has the texture of eating a highly compressed bar of brown sugar. In fact, I was quite surprised by just how heavy these felt for how small they are. The ingredients aren’t great, but we’re not talking about incorporating this into your daily diet. When your stomach says, “fill me or un-alive,” you’ll be glad you had these around. At around $16 these were a steal since you receive six packs of three cookies each, or “six days” of “meals” for one person. They last for around 5 years, which sounds about right these days, and the packing dates on mine say “05/22.”I’m eating one as I write this and I have to say, another taste realization has hit me. It tastes kind of like cheap cookie dough, but much more dry, crumbly, and oily. Still worth it, will buy again if we are all still here in the next ~5 years.
