I am super happy with this purchase it is really good quality it weighs 16 lb it is roomy and it is very good for the price it’s fireproof and waterproof. It’s also so easy to use.

I purchased this to protect a few valuable documents. Our focus is to protect the documents from fire, not so much for keeping them away from others. I like the size as it’s something that can easily be loaded into a car and transported in an emergency. As for the water resistance, I can only trust what the manufacturer says. This item is certified for fire protection. I found many products available that say they’re fire safe, yet they have no certification to prove that. This safe will only hold an 8.5 X 11 inch paper, and there is no extra width available at all. So, it’s not a large box, but it does what we purchased it for. I also felt the price is quite reasonable. The lock mechanism is very simple but functions smoothly.

Very Sturdy
I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised, because the wait was listed on Amazon, but this thing is surprisingly heavy. Hopefully that translates to sturdiness and fire resistance. I bought it to keep essential documents (wills, passports, etc.) in as part of a to-go kit in the event of a fire. It seems to be roomy enough for my needs. The lock isn’t particularly sturdy, I’m sure it could be opened with a screwdriver or a pry bar but I’m not using it for security as the primary purpose so it seems that it will work well for me.
