Well built and heavy
Early review (Day 2): Arrived quickly and without any damage. Was alarmed at first when I entered the factory code and nothing happened. Maybe I missed that the batteries were not installed (or supplied), but I quickly figured it out. Once I did that, it worked *almost* perfectly.* I hate beeps, so my first modification attempt was to mute the speaker. It didn’t work. Turns out the manual is wrong: to mute the beeps, Press 0,P,1; to opt for persistent intrusions into your quiet Zen, no worries – that is the default, unfortunately. But if you really want them, press 0,P,2.Back to the review. Great safe. The lockable internal box is next to useless, but the LED illumination is great. The weight of the safe is reassuring, though if you really want to prevent thieves from carting your safe off to their criminal den, you have to screw it down to the floor, which unfortunately voids the water intrusion warranty. No big deal for me, as I bought this safe to ensure that our valuables are protected when our apartment is shown to strangers. Anyone viewing the property will be with a realtor, and it isn’t possible to stow this safe in your pocket without the realtor seeing it, unlike jewelry, cash, and memory cards. So it does exactly what I want it to do.Five stars.

We are SO glad we made this purchase! Perfect for our needs. Great quality! Easy to install the batteries, easy to change the electronic code, just a great safe. The manual is easy to follow and understand. The safe was packed well so it was in great shape when we received it.

Safe is a great size for storing documents or a small amount of valuables. Rated for both heat and water protection (cannot use the lag bolts to secure the safe if you are expecting to maintain the protection from water). Easy to set up two additional combos for access.The unit I received came with a dent in the side, but I attribute that to shipping and not the product itself. Shouldn’t affect the unit other than cosmetic, but something to keep in mind if you prefer a pristine unit. The safe is heavy, so shipping company probably doesn’t take a ton of care.Overall, a nice unit for the price.

Only issue is that it shows money and passports, but because it gets “musty” it’s not great for paper goods which is a bit confusing since that’s what you generally put into a safe. It also states not good for digital media or photos, which again is a disappointment as that is some of the things I was hoping to put into this, but you don’t know that until you get the paperwork, which by then is too late since it’s a super heavy item.The digital operation is easy to set to the combination you want and easy to use. When the batteries die, there isn’t any kind of warning until you go to open it and it doesn’t operate, but that’s a non-issue if you keep spare batteries, it’s a quick changeThe desiccant packet should be replaced frequently as it doesn’t keep enough of the moisture down unfortunately.Overall, a strong heavy duty easy to use Fire-safe, but could use improvement in some areas so that it can store a bigger variety of items.

Just received today. Used the premium delivery option and well worth every cent, delivery person was professional and courteous. Safe was missing owner’s manual, which is supposed to have the code to open safe. When I called Sentry’s customer service, I was very pleased with the help I received and was able to get into safe in minutes. Safe is wonderful.Only negative is the shelving containers are plastic and don’t look like they’ll hold up. I’d rather have nice metal shelves, but it is what it is. Overall, very happy with purchase.
