Convenient, simple, long battery life
I got this light because it uses batteries, NOT usb charging. I occasionally visit places without electricity (or convenient outlets even if they do have it), and can stock up on batteries for long power outages. Relying on usb charging would be silly if thinking about prepping. The CR123 battery gives 40 lumens for 14 hours and 350 lumens for 1 1/2 hrs. I’ve used mine for three weeks, just briefly each day bringing in firewood from the shed or checking the shop, and on a 5 day trip to a monastery in the mountains with no electricity where I used it more heavily in the early mornings and evenings. Still on the first CR123 battery. The lithium AA battery gives the same 40 lumens for the same 14 hours and 150 for 4 1/2 hours. 40 lumens is plenty for most of my uses but when I need more light, 350 is significantly more power. This light is small enough that I keep it clipped in my back pocket all day every day and it’s not noticeable. It comes with low, blinking, and high settings, but you can change that easily, which I did, to get rid of the blinking and just have low and high, which are easily accessed: one click for low, one flash (not click) on and off and back on again for high. I think this is the best general use EDC flashlight I’ve ever had and I intend to get get a couple more to have around and as gifts.[edit] After another month of steady use of the Streamlight ProTac 1L-1AA, I *highly* recommend this light. It’s small enough to be conveniently carried clipped in the back pocket, powerful enough (low and high) to be useful in almost all situations, simple enough to adjust to settings that are most useful, and long-lasting enough to be extremely thrifty, AND it doesn’t rely on the electrical grid but takes batteries (CR123, AA lithium, or AA alkaline) which are easy to carry as backup and last a LONG time with normal use. I’ve been using this light for almost two month, just brief use each day and am still on the first battery. It’s shockproof and waterproof (or highly water-resistant), has a great cap clip (I use that feature all the time and it works beautifully as it’s not too heavy for a ball cap), and the on-off clicker on the end-cap requires just the right pressure, unlike others I’ve had. This is easily the best ECS light I’ve ever had. Did I say that before? I should have said it in caps. Did I also mention that I highly recommend it? Yeah, I do. You will not regret getting this light. Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA

A Reliable and Versatile Tactical Light
Hands down one of the most versatile and dependable tactical lights I’ve used. The dual fuel capability (compatible with both CR123A and AA batteries) is a game-changer, ensuring I always have a power source available. With 350 lumens, this compact flashlight provides an impressive brightness for its size, offering a focused yet wide beam that’s perfect for work, and EDC use. The TEN-TAP programming allows for easy customization of lighting modes, so I can switch between high, low, and strobe settings based on my needs.Durability is another strong point—constructed with anodized aluminum, it’s both lightweight and tough, standing up to drops and rough handling without an issue. The IPX7 waterproof rating means I don’t have to worry about using it in the rain. The pocket clip is sturdy, and the compact size makes it easy to carry without adding bulk. Whether for law enforcement, emergency preparedness, or everyday use, this flashlight delivers top-tier performance. Highly recommended!

Absolutely WONDERFUL multi-fuel flashlight!!
This flashlight is the perfect EDC or work flashlight, as well as a great option for emergencies or backup. This flashlight is multi-fuel, so it will accept regular AA batteries, rechargeable batteries, CR123A lithium ion, etc. – the perfect setup for using whatever batteries you can easily find or have on hand. I LOVE that the flashlight is lightweight and only requires one battery, but you also get a pretty rugged design with this model that can take some drops, scrapes, rough use, and even water exposure. The flashlight is small with a sturdy and reliable clip, and it comes weight a small pouch that has a velcro strap for attaching to belt, MOLLE, backpacks, etc. The brightness is not anything that will knock your socks off (only 350 lumens for 1.5 hrs), but this is more than enough light and is really solid for only using one battery. It also has a low setting go 40 lumens with a run time of app. 14 hours. So, the final verdict: GREAT flashlight and reliable option for basically any purpose requiring a mediums lumen output of light! If you are on the edge, JUST BUY IT!!

Awesome flashight. The hat clip has been great for using it as a headlamp during early morning work hours in the dark.I also lost it one morning in the parking lot over a weekend. Found it 3 days later soaking wet and half frozen. Fired up on the first click like nothing ever happened and the anodized finish held up perfectly as well.Beam is nice and even with minimal spill and the colour temp is slightly warmer than a lot of other higher lumen LEDs I have tried and cri seems pretty good as well.[Attached photo of mismatched drywall corner to show even minimal contrast objects still show up quite well]It’s also really nice to be able to toss a AA battery in it if I don’t have any CR123s on me at the time that it dies.Overall this is an awesome EDC flashlight. Especially considering the price to performance. I’d have a really hard time recommending anything else.

Used daily. Always works. Have traveled in planes with it multiple times. High beam small enough for hand held. This is an amazing product you end up using it often. Plus if you do get into an altercation, your all good 😉
