The ProTac 2L-X USB (models 88082 and 88083) and ProTac 2L-X (models 88062 and 88063) are 500 lumen Multi-Fuel EDC tactical flashlights. Both the Streamlight ProTac 2L-X and ProTac 2L-X USB can use either a proprietary Streamlight SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack or two CR123A disposable batteries. The ProTac 2L-X USB (models 88082 and 88083) is a complete rechargeable system that comes with a charge cord and SL-B26-protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack. The ProTac 2L-X (models 88062 and 88063) is a complete non-rechargeable system that comes with two CR123A batteries. Both the ProTac 2L-X and ProTac 2L-X USB can use either battery type. Both lights feature a tactical tail cap switch for momentary or constant operation, three different user-selectable programs, and a pocket clip for convenience. The aluminum housing with Type II Military Spec anodizing helps make the lights extremely durable and abrasion resistant. Packaged with a removable pocket clip and holster.

    An excellent flashlight with an unbeatable feature.
    This light is small, bright, water proof, and accepts common 18650 lithium cells(as long as they’re button top). None of that stuff is unique, though. There are hundreds of other lights, many of which are significantly cheaper, that can make the same claims.The one thing this streamlight does, that no other manufacturer can claim, is go to dim first and bright second.This should be obvious, but the ability to go straight to the low setting on a very bright light is awesome. What if you need a little light, but you don’t want to signal the iss with a blast of high-intensity led in the process? This light will do it.Thank you, streamlight.

    Excellent flashlight, not TSA compliant
    Excellent flashlight – convenient size, not too heavy but clearly sturdy, good battery life and great brightness. This is a must-have for us, much more reliable than cheaper flashlights and love the brightness of the light. Comes with a nice carrying case.We purchased this flashlight for a trip only to learn it wasn’t TSA compliant, so either put in checked bag or don’t take with for air travel. We had to buy another and have it shipped to our destination since we weren’t checking bags.

    Reliability is paramount
    I have several streamlight flashlights used as weapon lights. I just received this light and it is excellent just like the others. This looks like it will be an excellent handheld light for edc. I was tempted to buy a different light but I’m very glad I went with my gut and stuck with the brand that has served me well over the last 10ish years.

    Great EDC light, durable, simple use but heavy on batteries and poor light spread.
    I EDC a flashlight this size and have carried a couple brands over the years. This is the cheapest flashlight I’ve used so far, and it shows. That being said, I will buy again if I lose this one. It is a great edc light for work and anything really. My only complaints are the C4 LED is a battery killer compared to some other LEDs with similar output. Also, the spread of the light on this is very uneven. Doesn’t bother me but it may bother some people. I’ve dropped this thing and flung it around many time working on aircraft and just day to day. It’s worked without issue. I’ve also had 100 dollar lights start having issues after a 4 foot fall. Streamlights have always been good to me.

    Great light.
    Bought this light for my wife a few years ago. Thought that it was a great light then. Carried a Modlite for a few years but needed something as an intermediary for short distance search. Picked up a 2L-X for myself. It was a great purchase. The fact that I can use CR123s and rechargeables fits my current and long term battery plans. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Have used this product for two months now. Works perfectly…bright and reliable. Achieving the low setting takes a short time to became familiar with, but after that, it is easy to deploy. Solid purchase.

    Excelente linterna para EDC, aunque tal vez sea un poco grande para algunas personas, ilumina muy bien incluso en el modo bajo, la única desventaja es que, como a muchas otras linternas para pilas 18650, solo le quedan las baterías con niple y no las baterías de buena calidad como las Sony o Samsung

    Nice quality, came with a couple batteries. Had a 2AA before and this one is quite brighter. I thought it worked with regular 18650 batteries but it only works with a streamlight proprietary 18650 which I ordered from a different company (it should not be called an 18650 at all, it just confuses people and the battery is taller than an 18650)
