This sealer works great.
The price point is lower than many other sealers, however the quality is just fine. We needed a lightweight, compact vacuum set to help put up foodstuff for the year from our garden and from the local ranches and farms where we get our meat. There are several sealing options as well as an external vacuum adapter and a bag cutter on the top. We like the continuous bag rolls, both for price and flexibility. Be certain to allow about 3 inches extra for top and bottom seal as well as a bit of space above the food in the bag. The instructions are a bit on the ESL side, but get the job done. If you are sealing very wet stuff or liquid, may want to place in bag upright, freeze them seal.

Stop working already less the 6 months
Not happy just got this paid 48 dollars on July 30th this year now it stop working didn’t even use it much at all every time I did was an issue trying to get it line up right not happy very upset because now it’s not even doing anything I try new bags for it brought the ones it suggested now it’s not doing anything I try troubleshooting everything not doing anything not happy less then even 6 months old I’m requesting my money back especially seeing how I didn’t even use it as much and when I did it was always something try useing it tonight nothing at all not getting anything out at all left the top od it press it to see if anything was comeing out of it nothing very disappointed will glad return this broken food saver with a pre paid lable qc code I just want my money back as I already know this is obviously not a well lasting food saver I was expecting you would think for 48 dollars it would of lasted at least a few years

OK, I’ve put off buying one of these for decades because I couldn’t justify the cost. I finally bit the bullet and tried this one out. IT has the most features and widest bag size I could find, so it made the cut.I experimented a bit with it seeing if I could split bags and conserve (doable, but again, follow the instructions). When the manual says leave 1.5 inches between food and edge of bag, they mean it. The little vac is powerful enough to pull in even the smallest bits of dust (salt, pepper etc) and invisibly ruin the seal. As you can see from picture 1 of the pink salt, I didn’t follow the instructions properly and the bag lost vacuum. Tried again with peppercorn and it’s been holding over 30 days now with no air entry. That distance is also important so you can get the bag opening flat against the heating element, and making sure your food doesn’t spill into that area.Needless to say, I vacuum sealed an unnecessary number of things around the house and went through my bags quickly. They’re not expensive to replace, especially when compared to Ziploc bags.I love the multiple automatic heat/vacuum/time settings for dry/wet goods. IF something is really wet, it’s better to freeze it first, then vacuum seal it. My next venture is vacuum sealed jars using the adapter (sold separately).All in all, great little device, takes up practically no space at all (fits in a drawer easily) and has a very short learning curve. DO RECOMMEND!

I love this machine!
I had resisted getting a vacuum sealer for a long time because I was afraid I would not use it enough to justify the cost! When I saw this one marked down, I decided to try it! The day after it arrived, I put it to the test! I bought all of the meat that I would need for a month, portioned it out for each meal that I had planned and started sealing! I sealed 12 pounds of ground beef, 14 pounds of chicken and 8 pounds of pork chops. Yes, a bit of work but all of the meat was on sale in the same week at my grocery store. This little machine worked like a charm! It was very easy to use, and I had even ordered extra rolls so I was able to make my own bags as needed! And I love the fact that I have all of my groceries purchased for the entire month — a great help when you get a monthly check! Already preparing my plan for October so I can put my machine to work again!

This food saver storage solution is excellent in saving my cats dry food.
I have three cats that I feed both dry and wet food to. Since the wet food comes in cans it is already preserved. However, the dry food is a different story. With three cats I buy the largest bag of kibble I can get, which is 22 pound bags. In doing this I was hoping to save some money but I found that when we got down past two thirds to a quarter of the bag the cats were not as enthusiastically eating as they had before an there was funky smell to the kibble. I ended up having to throw away about a third of the bag time after time. I went and looked for solutions on-line and found out that you can freeze the dry food, as long as you get as much air out of the bag as possible. So, I searched for a good Food saver/sealer on-line and after looking at the reviews I bought this one and gave it a try. This food saver works very well and it’s easy and simple to work. The cutter is a wonderful addition to the sealer and makes it easy to use rolls of bagging material. I’m able to portion out from one to three days’ worth of food for the cats and bring it up when we get low in their glass container that I’m now able to use rather than scooping it out of a bag into their bowls. I’m down now below where I would have had to throw away the food if I had just left it in the bag like I used to. I’ll soon be ordering another 22# bag of food and will not be wasting any of it from now on.
